Warehouse 29 Escape Room

Warehouse 29, set to be the largest escape room experience on the East Coast, is under construction at Clopton Siteworks. Complete with live actors and integrated virtual reality, the attraction will create a 2-hour experience themed around the stories of Edgar Allen Poe.

After a $150,000 build-out, Warehouse 29 expects to open in early 2018.

100+ Turnout for TEDxRVA Salon - "Richmond By Design"

TEDxRVA's July event brought over 100 people out to Clopton Siteworks for a free-wheeling discussion on urban planning and the future of Richmond.

From TEDxRVA's website:

The City of Richmond had added over 30,000 people since 2000 and is on track to continue to grow in population. How do we want to design our city to accommodate growth and maintain a high quality of life?

Meet us at Clopton Siteworks on July 18, 2017 and see how Richmond is already changing...  It is a fitting site for us to come together as a community and explore how we can and will continue to evolve with intention.

Mayor Stoney drops by to check out progress

Mayor Levar Stoney, State Delegate Betsy Carr, and City staff leadership dropped by Siteworks on Tuesday. After a quick tour of the grounds - kept brief due to the 92-degree heat - the group moved into the air conditioning to take a look at brand-new spaces for Triple Stamp Press, TeamEight, Mama Green, and Tim Reid Productions.

The officials also had a chance to welcome Brandito, a marketing company relocating here from Henrico County, at a reception hosted by Triple Stamp Press following the tour.

In his remarks, Mayor Stoney emphasized that revitalization of the Jeff Davis Corridor is a major priority for the City, and congratulated the project on the 50 new permanent jobs it has brought since opening in February.

Leadership Metro Richmond tours Siteworks

Clopton Siteworks hosted LMR's "Off-the-Cuff" event series on Tuesday, where members of the leadership development program check out up-and-coming spots around the City.  After a tour of Siteworks and our newly-opened creative flex spaces, the group heard from Lee Downey - the City's chief of Economic Development - about the City's progress on bringing in new businesses and jobs.

Special thanks to Triple Stamp Press, Team 8, and Mama Green for showing off their space and talking about what attracted them to Siteworks.

Leasing Update - Tim Reid Productions

Great news - Clopton Siteworks has signed up 5 more businesses for our new flex spaces on Decatur Street. The new phase, 80,000 sqft of office/production/warehouse space for small businesses, is now 80% leased.

Last week, Tim Reid Productions finalized a lease for 10,000 sqft in Building 29. Owners Tim and Daphne Reid (stars of 'WKRP in Cincinnati' and 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air') plan to build a large-scale production studio and event space.

In the news: Clopton Siteworks Open House

Last week, Clopton Siteworks held an open house to show off construction progress on our eight new flex spaces. The event attracted over 50 supporters, including  6 City Council members and our General Assembly delegate.

Special guests included our newest community members: print shop Triple Stamp Press,  and creative design firm Team Eight. These two small businesses will be the first to move into the new flex space when it opens January 2017.
